CHILDREN'S DAY AT KHUN LAO: CELEBRATING A YEAR'S HARD WORK

All over Thailand, families celebrate Children’s Day with games and small gifts.  This year Project WIN volunteers organized a big Children’s Day event at Khun Lao.  They put up a stage and sound system and decorated the village  square for all-day live entertainment

 They brought loads of gifts: food, toys and stuffed animals.  Project WIN believes that building community with local leaders, villagers, and volunteers will strengthen working relationships throughout the New Year.  Here are the pictures.

Project WIN, supported by BWG., Friends Club and everyone who donated money, equipment, and many other things, organized a Children's Day event in 2025 at Ban Huai Muang Nai, Mae Na Wang Subdistrict, Mae Ai District, Chiang Mai Province, with approximately 150 children and parents participating in the event. this year we had a parents to join us too. The activities include fun activities for children, star picking, lucky draw tickets, and many prizes. on the day, it very warm, so, we need to finish by noon, and we had lunch together. Total cost 35,366 baht (About 1,100 US) Thank you to everyone who supported and participated in the event.

วันเด็กแห่งชาติประจำปี 2567 ได้จัดขึ้น วันที่ 12-14 มกราคม 2567 ณ. โรงเรียนบ้านแม่โต๋ สาขาบ้านห้วยเต่า ตำบลบ่อแก้ว อำเภอสะเมิง จังหวัดเชียงใหม่ มีเด็กนักเรียนจำนวน 36 คน ครู 3 คน นอกจากกิจกรรมสำหรับเด็กๆ เรายังได้ปรับปรุงพัฒนาโรงเรียน เช่น สร้างรั้วหน้าอาคารเรียน, ปรับปรุงห้องสมุด, ปรับปรุงห้องพยาบาล, ปรับปรุงห้องน้ำ และแปลงผักให้กับเด็กๆ ด้วย We celebrated National Children’s Day 2024 on 12-14 January 2024 at Ban Mae To School, Ban Huai Tao Branch, Bo Kaeo Subdistrict, Samoeng District, Chiang Mai Province, Thailand with 36 students and 3 teachers. When The fist time for Project went to visit her A house for grandma 2025 is for Mrs. Phongsri Lung Ai, 67 years old, lives at 122 Ban Huai Muang Nai, Mae Na Wang Subdistrict, Mae Ai District, Chiang Mai Province. She lives alone and has a monthly income of 600 baht from the government welfare fund. She is unable to do heavy work due to a chronic illness. Her general problems include the need to fix her housing, water, and food. The original condition of the house was built with wood, bamboo, and thatched with cogon grass and was in a dilapidated state. The roof leaked. The residents fixed it with what they could find and do themselves, which was old sacks, old canvas, old plastic bags. Also, the house was leaning. When it rained, the roof leaked and the whole house got wet. Household items were damaged, such as mattresses, pillows, and mosquito nets.
